Leonard Lance has been a strong voice for fiscal responsibility and limited government in New Jersey for over 25 years. In the New Jersey General Assembly, he rose through the ranks and served as Vice Chair and Chairman of the Appropriations committee and was instrumental in crafting the state budget.
Lance brought his budget experience to Washington after his election in 2008 and he quickly became a leader on fiscal issues and business issues in the Republican ranks. He is committed to eliminating onerous business regulation and creating an environment in which small business can thrive. As the only New Jersey Republican on the House Energy & Commerce Committee, he is in a unique position to improve the business climate for his constituents in 7th District.
